ETI d.d. Business Excellence Award Winner  (PRSPO 2003)

The Award of Republic of Slovenia for Business Excellence (PRSPO) is the highest recognition by the State for achievements of organizations in implementing systems for modern, effective and complete reaching of products and services quality, and of the business operation quality as a result of the knowledge and development of innovativeness.

The Award emphasizes the comprehension that only through orientation towards the products and services quality, and above all the quality of relations between manufacturers, suppliers and users, and through proper management the prosperity of all the company's employees as well as a complete integration into the European streams can be achieved. Only through a co-operation of each and every individual, and through an organized teamwork a continuous improvement of quality can be achieved. The company ETI d.d. was actively involved in the project of business excellence with self-evaluation procedure from the year 1999 on. The feedback information: points achieved, descriptions of advantages and improvement opportunities have been used as an appropriate measure for establishing to what degree any of the company vision points has been reached, for which we have committed ourselves to achieve results comparable with the European ones.

As early as a year ago we were awarded the Diploma of finalist in the category of organizations with more than 250 employees in the area of manufactured goods. And this year for the PRSPO 2003 contest we were awarded, in addition to the Finalist Diploma, also the Award of Republic of Slovenia for Business Excellence, as an organization that in the year 2003 evaluation achieved the maximum number of points in its category, thus ranking to the top of business excellence in Slovenian area.

The solemn granting has taken place on the 03.03.2004, in the large hall of the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra in Ljubljana.  The Finalist Diploma was delivered to the President of the Board of   ETI d.d. Mr Jožef Smrkolj by the Minister of Economy  Dr Tea Petrin, and the Business Excellence Award for the year 2003 by the Prime Minister Mr Anton Rop, M.Sc.
