Introduction

NH fuse-links with gPV (general Photovoltaic) characteristics are specifically designed for protecting photovoltaic (PV) systems against overcurrent conditions. These fuse-links ensure the safety and reliability of solar power installations by isolating fault currents, preventing damage to PV panels, inverters, and associated wiring.

Rated Voltage

These fuse-links are available with a 1000V d.c. rating for sizes NH0, NH1, NH2 and NH3. Additionally, there are fuse-links with a 1100V d.c. and 1500V d.c. rating.

Breaking Capacity: The breaking capacity is 30kA d.c. for sizes NH1, NH2, and NH3 and 20kA d.c. for sizes NH0 and NH1C. The 1500V versions have a breaking capacity of 30kA d.c. for NH1 and NH2XL and 50kA d.c. for NH3L. The 1500V d.c. also meet a 70kA d.c. breaking capacity according to IEC 60947-3 test sequence IV.

- Includes standard indicator, S110 screw contact, U110 screw contact and G screw contact with centre trip indicator for microswitch MK types
NH3 Size: Available in current ratings from 160A to 400A.
- Includes standard indicator, S110 screw contact, U110 screw contact and G screw contact with centre trip indicator for microswitch MK types

1100V d.c. Series

NH1XL Size: Available in current ratings from 63A to 200A.
NH2XL Size: Available in current ratings of 200A and 250A
NH3L Size: Available in current ratings from 315A to 630A (500A and 630A not UL certified).
- Includes standard indicator, S170 screw contact and U170 screw contact types
- It is possible to mount microswitch NVS5 to all fuse-links in the above table.

1500V d.c. Series

NH 01XL Size: Available in current ratings from 50A to 160A.
- Includes standard indicator, S150 screw contact and U150 screw contact types.
NH 1XL Size: Available in current ratings from 50A to 200A.
- Includes standard indicator, S170 screw contact and U170 screw contact types
- It is possible to mount microswitch NVS5 to all fuse-links in the above table.
NH 2XL Size: Available in current ratings of 200A and 250A.
- Includes standard , S170 screw contact and U170 screw contact types
- It is possible to mount microswitch NVS5 to all fuse-links in the above table.
NH 3L Size: Available in current ratings from 315A to 630A.
- Includes standard indicator, S170 screw contact and U170 screw contact types
- It is possible to mount microswitch NVS5 to all fuse-links in the above table.
NH 3L MS Size: Available in current ratings from 315A to 500A.
- Includes standard indicator, S170 screw contact and U170 screw contact types.

Power Dissipation: The power dissipation of the fuse-links is specified at 0.7 times the rated current.
Joule Integral: The pre-arcing and operating Joule integral values are provided for each fuse-link, which are important for understanding their performance under fault conditions.
Current Characteristics: Time current characteristics are available to properly select the fuse-link for specific applications and protection curves for different sizes.
Temperature Derating: Theaffects the fuse-link's rated current. A temperature derating factor must be applied to ensure proper operation under different temperature conditions.
Cut-off Current: The cut-off current of the fuse-links is provided for various time constants and different current values.
